Iaido & Jodo Championships 2008

Australian Iaido & Jodo Seminar & Championships 2007

The Australian Iaido and Jodo Seminar and Championships for 2007 is being held in Hobart, Tasmania in the last week of January. Victoria is sending a contingent of 34 people which is a record for the State and largest group attending the 2007 event. It is likely that 2007 will see the total number of delegates attending the Seminar from across Australia reach the 100 mark for the first time. Once agaiin there is a large contingent of Sensei from Japan attending for the week lead by Oda Katsu Sensei and Kuniaki Nagayama Sensei. Check back at the end of January or early February for photos from the event.

VKR iaido seminar in Ballarat, 20th May 2006.

The next VKR Iaido training day will be held in Ballarat on Saturday 20th May and all members are encouraged to attend. Training is likely to run from approx 10.00 am through to 4.30 pm though a full schedule will be available from the Club this week.

Photos of this years All Japan Jodo Taikai have been added to the site. The event was held in Sendai in October 2005.

Australian Iaido & Jodo Seminar & Championships, Wollongong, 2006.

The 2006 Australian Iaido and Jodo Seminar and Championships will be held in Wollongong from 23th to 29th January. Full details are available on the event website. Application forms for the Seminar and the AKR Grading are available from the Club and should be back by 25th November to qualify for the early booking deadline. FYI the grading is open to VKR/AKR members only. As always this event is the premier training opportunity we have each year. It is also a great opportunity to take part in and support the growth of iaido and jodo in Australia.
